Building a Job-Winning Resume

June 14th, 2008 · No Comments

Resume Icon  Ideally, you start laying the groundwork for an eye-catching resume during high school and college years.  Fill it with volunteer service and internships.  These set your resume apart from the hundreds of anemic ones that simply list college degrees, GPAs and summer jobs.  If you work during the summer in something other than a relevant  paid internship, augment your resume by volunteering for local  nonprofit or political organizations.  Most of these experiences only require a few hours a week, but they will  pop off your resume, and you’ll have fun.  Wikipedia provides a great tutorial on how to build the most approrpaite resume for your job search.
