Booklet Salutes Page Center Legacy Scholars

The Arthur W. Page Center’s Legacy Scholars program annually awards grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 to scholars and PR professionals for their projects in ethics and public communication.  This year’s recipients and others are featured in a new booklet available online and from the center.

Legacy Scholar projects are described in the 52-page booklet along with essays by PR veterans (including this writer) who discuss topics including organizational culture, CSR, sustainability, crisis management, ethics, trust, mission and values.

The Arthur W. Page Center for Integrity in Public Communication is based at the Pennsylvania State University (a.k.a. Penn State).  The center focuses on advancing ethics and responsibility in communication.  Arthur Page was the longtime vice president of PR at AT&T, who arguably is the founder of the modern practice of corporate public relations.   Page was the quintessential PR leader, becoming one of the first PR professionals to serve as an officer and director of a major corporation.
